The good people of Arizona have had their rights violated for several years, but not how the liberal media may have you think.
“The people in Southern Arizona have had their rights violated by the unending, and constant flow of drug smugglers and human traffickers across their property.”
-Senator John McCain
Senator Harry Reid also appears to have put the immigration bill that he was fighting so hard for on the bottom of the list when telling reporters, “I don’t have an immigration bill…” because has placed an energy bill ahead of his own immigration reform campaign. It comes as no surprise to Screeching Tires that Reid has flip flopped priorities, after all Reid completely ignored voters when he passed the health care bill in the past. Despite Reids incompetence, the most surprising of all this is the fact that Arizona’s own representative Raul Grijalva (D-Ariz) is encouraging a boycott on his own state.
Referring to the new immigration reform law Grijalva stated “There has to be an economic sanction for this…” Well excuse us representative Grijalva but didn’t the immigration law have “a 70 percent approval in Arizona…”? Last time we checked you were voted in by the people of Arizona to represent their agenda not your own, of course given the democrat’s recent track record we fully expect the current democrats will ignore anything the people want anyway.
While liberal media tends to show the outrage of the less than 40% of actual voters who may oppose the bill they fail to recognize that the rights of people of Arizona are the only rights that are currently being violated. If illegal immigration is not really illegal than there is no reason why we should be wasting money on border patrols to begin with, yet liberal activists have consistently said that it if they were in the Arizona Governor’s spot they would have negotiated with the federal government to enact better laws. What democrats fail to recognize is that if the federal government fails to act, which it has done for years, than the citizens of Arizona have a right and an obligation to protect themselves and their civil liberties, which is exactly what they did when passing this bill.
